Move Menu

The Move Menu varies depending on which window you are working in. In its basic form it provides the methods for moving from one record to another either by direct move (previous, next etc.) or by searching on at least one field.
Some windows, particularly the Customer window provide extended search facilities.

Find

May give a sub-menu displaying the search options or simply display a pick list or search box.

Release Index

Releases any index currently in use. Thus the records appear in 'natural' order (i.e. the order in which they were entered onto the system).

Bookmark

The Customer window provides the facility to "Bookmark" the current record. When a Bookmark is defined you can then recall the record by recalling its bookmark. This that means you can break off entering a long piece of information (e.g. in the Notes window) in order to access another record and then return to it and continue work.
You can set up to 10 Bookmarks, each of which point to a particular customer record. If you have 10 Bookmarks and you add another one then the first Bookmark is discarded.
You can also use the button in the toolbar to set and recall bookmarks.
NOTE: 1stBase discards all bookmarks when you close the customer window.

Previous

Moves to the previous record as dictated by the current index.
Tip: You also can use the PageUp key or click to move in this manner.

Hot Customers

Customers can be flagged as 'Hot' in the customer window. A 'Hot' customer is someone who needs you immediate attention or has a problem you need to address.
You can elect to view hot customers that you have set (i.e. Mine) or all of them regardless of who set them.

Next

Moves to the next record as dictated by the current index.
Tip: You also can use the PageDown key or click in the toolbar to move in this manner.

Top Of File

Moves to the 1st record in the file as dictated by the current index.
Tip: You also can use Ctrl+PageUp key or click in the toolbar to move in this manner.

End Of File

Moves to the last record in the file as dictated by the current index.
Tip: You also can use the Ctrl+PageDown key or click in the toolbar to move in this manner.
